Roles & Responsibilities
JOB DESCRIPTION
Project Controller & Finance Manager with strong experience in Project Accounting and Commercial Project Management
Software as a Service; Software Development Service, Consultancy Service , Projects
Member of the finance team, reporting to the Director of Finance & Accounting of the company and working directly with the account managers
Responsibilities
Prepare and monitor all accounting entries and monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
Preparing ledger, balance sheet, profit and loss statement and other reports
Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents
Coordinate outsourced accounting functions
Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Complete required tax reporting
Update the company sales tax database as tax rates change
Coordinate audits by various taxation authorities
Advise management regarding the local tax impact of corporate strategies
Advise management on the impact of new laws on tax liabilities
Collect sales taxes from customers and remit them to the government
Record cash receipts and make bank deposits
Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations
Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
Manage and pay supplier invoices
Purchase supplies and equipment
Maintain appropriate insurance coverage for the company
Coordinate IT topics with Corporate IT
Prepare and update employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating
Ensure proper agreements and documents related to employees are in place and maintained
Support annual employee dialogue process
Prepare and support onboarding and exit process
Maintain and publish local HR company policies
Administer employee compensation and benefit plans
Coordinate outsourced payroll process
Responsibilities for Invicara Group
· Client project accounting in line with IFRS including revenue recognition, project cost accounting and budgeting
· Manage all commercial aspects of client projects from offer, pre-contract award to contract close, including invoicing and cash collection
Review of all cost estimates by element prior to uploading in ERP
Proper assessment of the risk and contingencies as per risk and opportunity guidelines
Organise project reviews from start to the end of each client project
Manage work in progress accounting and client project cashflow
· Liaise with client account management for revenue recognition and cost development
Manage interfaces with other expert functions e.g. tax, treasury, insurance, contract management
Ensure compliance to corporate governance and other regulatory requirements
Ensure transfer pricing standards are maintained for all projects
· Manage intercompany hourly tracking system for client projects and monthly cross intercompany cross charges
· Manage revenue and order intake tracking tool including the revolving revenue forecast based on predicted revenue recognition.
· Invoicing to the customers
· Ensuring that financial information reported are reconciled to the project reports
· Conducting monthly balance sheet and receivables reviews and take actions on items identified
· Accountable and Responsible for P/L and Balance Sheet (WIP, Contract assets) items related to projects and customers towards closings of books and closure of all open points if any in statutory audit
· Implement and take overall responsibility for R&D project tracking tool
Requirements
· Degree in Finance and Accounting with CA-Inter / CMA-Inter and minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
· Extensive experience in project accounting and project controlling in the software industry
· Profound knowledge of IFRS and expert knowledge in revenue recognition and project cost accounting
· Experience in transfer pricing
· Analytical and problem-solving skills
· Strong system skills in ERP Systems
· Experience in Microsoft Office suite, especially advanced skills in Excel including VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, Advanced conditional formatting, Pivot tables and reporting, Macros and VBA, Data simulations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Must be flexible to work extended/flexible hours to accommodate locations in various time zones
