Ensure timely, accurate and high quality monthly financial reporting to management and other internal stakeholders.
Financial controlling of key technical areas such as equity, provisions, tax, hedges, and others.
Lead the preparation of the annual consolidated group accounts and support the annual and interim audits.
Communicate and explain the numbers to various stakeholders within and outside finance.
Take ownership of the numbers and be a prime mover for quality improvements across the organization.
Prepare and maintain accounting and reporting policies and procedures.
Participate in the quarterly forecast and preparation of BoD material.
Requirements:
Qualifications such as CPA & CA and well versed in IFRS, especially around the accounting for leases, assets and impairments.
5 years Experience from Big 4 accounting or within a shipping environment ?working in an accounting/controlling role.
Disciplined and with high sense of urgency.
Comfortable with taking responsibility, optimizing and improving processes.
Possess great communications skills both verbal and written and are comfortable in providing accounting advice and explaining results in layman terms to stakeholders.
Detail-oriented and are comfortable with preparing accounting material and documentations.
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and OneStream.
