Job Description – Software Developer .NET (Contract)

Purpose of Role:
Role holder will be developing .NET web and backend applications that supports business needs according to customer’s requirement.
The role will be involved in developing and maintaining customized solutions to help customers with their operations and provide value added services to them.
The role is expected to support any projects that involves customization from small integration projects to large solutioning projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Work on development task assigned with/as part of the project team.
Work closely with other project teams to build & test web applications.
Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages.
Conduct peer reviews to ensure quality codes are delivered.
Conduct troubleshooting and debugging of codes when required.
Perform unit test as part of the development practice
Conduct performance testing and tuning
Fix defects reported during testing
Create documentations such as test documents, technical design documents and user guide.
Maintain and document application’s lifecycle, including but not limited to issues, resolutions, and version history.
Maintain and commit source code to code repository.
Conduct knowledge sharing session to other team members.
Skills & Qualifications:
Candidate must at least possess a Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or IT related studies.
Familiar with web application development using .NET.
Possess hands-on experience with DevOps processes for software development.
Possess hands-on experience with AJAX, jQuery, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular 13 and above.
Possess good knowledge in testing practices like Unit Testing, Load Testing, Secured Coding practices; and are familiar with architecture styles/APIs (REST).
Must be knowledgeable in backend and database skillsets such as .NET Framework/Core, ASP.NET MVC, Entity framework core, C#, SQL.
Must be knowledgeable on security coding best practises.
Knowledgeable in Object-Oriented and Functional Programming.
Knowledgeable in software design and development in a test-driven environment.
Good communication skills; able to articulate clearly in English.
Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies will be a plus.
Procurement domain knowledge will be a plus.
Able to work as a team and being team-player cooperating with others to achieve team goals and can build stable and useful working relationships.
