Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
Work closely with Software Manager and Software Developer and other team members within the software development team to understand the software functionalities and the software test cases
To be involved and responsible for creating test plans, developing manual and/or automated test tools for ease of testing
To be involved in continuous improvement in the software validation process and methods.
To conduct test reviews and generating test reports
Performs software testing, functional testing and API testing and report the defects encountered to the software manager/developers for resolution.
Capture logs and other supporting documents to assist the software development team in fixing the defects
Verifies bug fixes deployed and ensures that the reported issue/defect is fixed, and no regression introduced.
Lead a team of software testers in performing the software verification and validation process and managing their work assignment.
Monitor the progress of the test team members and update team’s progress during progress meeting

Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology
Minimum 5 years of software development experience and have gone through at least 2 cycles of SLDC, preferably in the areas of software verification and validation process.
Having good working knowledge of Linux based commands, SQL script and setup/configuring of software simulators
Good working experience in using software tools such as JIRA, DOORS and Perforce.
Knowledge of software programming such as C++ or Java will be advantageous
Ability to lead and manage a team of software testers and provide technical guidance whenever necessary.
