Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
Collaborate with Regional HQs (RHQs) on cost savings projects to achieve terminal cost savings.
Negotiate terminal contracts with terminal operators directly or through RHQs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Terminal cost savings
Collaborate with RHQs to derive annual cost savings targets.
Ensure RHQs achieve the global terminal cost savings targets monthly.
Review and update cost savings projects when targets are not met.
Report cost savings monthly.
Share cost savings best practices amongst the regions.
2.Cost Reports
Ensure timely delivery of cost and volume report with analysis with high accuracy.
Perform ad-hoc cost and volume analysis as required.
Coordinate budget and other cost report.
3.System/Data Management
Coordinate with various internal stakeholders for system management/revamp for terminal related functions.
Perform/coordinate assessment for systems based on department needs.
4.Contract negotiations
Negotiate with terminal operators directly to achieve targeted terminal contact rates.
Collaborate with RHQs to achieve targeted terminal contact rates.
REQUIREMENT
Good business judgment and negotiating skills
Strong analytical skills
Excellent Communication skills both written and spoken in English to liaise with internal stakeholders
Bachelor’s degree related to job
5-8 of experience in shipping industry. Experience in cost management and operations preferred.
