Roles & Responsibilities
Job Purpose
We are looking for a hands-on software development manager, who will be responsible for designing and implementing the goals for the software product you are in charge of, to ensure that the software product meets the highest standards and quality in the market.
Key Accountability Areas
1. Manage the development lifecycle of software products to ensure quality, time and cost targets are achieved
2. Research new technologies and development methods to strengthen product leadership.
3. Plan, direct and coordinate the actions of the development team to ensure smoother delivery and operation
Other Duties & Responsibilities
1. To ensure and protect company intellectual property (e.g. source code, documentation, etc.)
2. Provide technical leadership and guidance to management and the team to ensure smooth delivery of product features within resources and skillset available.
Qualifications
(A) Education
Degree Holder – in Computer Science / Information Systems (or equivalent) from renowned tertiary institutions, with good results preferred.
(B) Experience
1. Minimum 8 years hands-on software development hands-on experience, preferably in e-commerce, online-gaming industry or any other high transactional web-based systems.
2. Minimum 2 years’ experience in managing software development with Agile Scrum methods.
(C) Knowledge
• Strong knowledge in microservices software development
• Strong knowledge of development methodologies such as Domain Driven Development and Test-Driven Development
• Strong knowledge in budgeting for software product development.
(D) Skills
• MUST be able to communicate written and oral with both English and Mandarin
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
• Able to work in a dynamic and ever-changing industry
• Able to effectively lead a team & solve problem, and cultivate team cohesiveness & teamwork
• Determined to stay at the forefront of technological development
