Duties and Responsibilities
Patient Care:
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments upon admission and ongoing throughout their stay.
Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
Continuously monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
Document all care provided and patient outcomes accurately.
Administer prescribed treatments and investigations.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues about patient progress.
Ensure patient safety and well-being through competent nursing practices.
Participate actively in physician rounds and assist with procedures.
Demonstrate compassion and a positive attitude towards patients and colleagues.
Educate patients and families on health conditions, prevention strategies, and self-care.
Professionalism and Teamwork:
Uphold high standards of clinical knowledge, skills, and critical thinking in patient care.
Practice proper use, care, and hygiene protocols for equipment.
Manage and use supplies effectively and economically.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Guide and support new/junior staff and nursing students.
Function effectively as the Staff Nurse in-charge when necessary.
Demonstrate competence in all core competencies and unit-specific programs.
Job Requirements:
Registered Nurse with a valid license.
Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution approved by the Singapore Nursing Board.
Ability to work rotating shifts.
