The Nurse Manager/Clinician provides strategic leadershipfor nursing services in a general hospital, ensuring high-quality patient care,regulatory compliance, and successful establishment of nursing operations in anew hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management
Lead and inspire nursing staff, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, development, and performance management of nursing personnel.
Set clear goals, expectations, and metrics, providing coaching and feedback to support staff growth.
Clinical Oversight
Collaborate with physicians, allied health, and other departments to implement evidence-based care protocols.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, and monitor patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction.
Resource & Operational Management
Develop staffing models, schedules, and workflows to optimize care delivery and efficiency.
Coordinate medical supplies, equipment, and budget management for nursing operations.
Quality Improvement
Lead initiatives to enhance patient safety, clinical outcomes, and the patient experience.
Conduct audits and performance reviews, engaging staff in continuous learning and innovation.
Education & Training
Develop and implement orientation, training, and continuing education programs. Provide mentorship, clinical supervision, and support to nursing staff.
Hospital Set-Up
Play a key role in establishing nursing services, workflows, staffing plans, and policies for a new hospital.
Collaborate with architects, designers, and planners to integrate nursing units with clinical best practices and patient-centred care.
Set up systems for inventory, equipment procurement, and infection control for safe, efficient operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Health Sciences
Singapore Registered Nurse with ?10 years post-registration experience, including ?2 years in a supervisory role.
Experience in nursing management, preferably in start-up or expansion of hospital settings.
Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality improvement methodologies.
