The Challenges:
Operations:
Maintaining nurses and auxiliary staff (Recruitment, selection, orientation, and training)
Managing nursing staff job performance (Mentoring, counselling, reviewing, and appraising)
Designing, reviewing, and improving SOPs and other workflow processes such as:
Rules and Regulations, Infection-control policies, Medication administration, Storage procedures, Controlled substance regulations
Patients’ Quality Care:
Assuring quality of care by ensuring strict adherence to SNB and other governing bodies’ requirements
Completing patient care requirements (Scheduling and assigning of staff, following-up on work results)
Providing information to patients and health care team
Administration and Finance:
Maintaining documentation of patient care services (Auditing of patient and department records)
Preparing annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances and initiating corrective actions
Inventory and emergency:
Verifying emergency equipment availability (Completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions (Scheduling for repairs when needed), maintaining equipment inventories, evaluating new equipment and techniques)
Maintaining nursing supplies inventory (Studying usage reports, identifying trends, anticipating needed supplies, approving requisitions, allocating costs)
What it Takes:
Registered with SNB
Min. 1 year of experience as a Nurse Manager or in management position
Min. 2 years of experience in OT or Scrub
