Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse Manager to lead our nursing team and healthcare staff in the ward. The Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the Nursing Department, maintaining high standards of patient care, and fostering a safe, supportive, and professional working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the nursing team to deliver quality patient care.
Attend case management rounds and family conferences to ensure patients’ needs are met, resolve issues, and address feedback.
Perform on-call duties as required.
Conduct staff performance appraisals, provide guidance, and counsel staff when necessary.
Compile and report monthly incident and infection statistics.
Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and efficient ward environment.
Ensure staff discipline, punctuality, attendance, and adherence to organizational code of conduct.
Conduct monthly ward meetings and facilitate communication within the team.
Participate in staff meetings, training courses, and evaluation sessions.
Support volunteering initiatives and carry out other duties assigned by the Supervisor/Head of Department.
Requirements
Degree in Nursing recognized by the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB), or Post Basic Qualification.
Registered Nurse with SNB.
Preferably at least 5 years of nursing experience in an inpatient ward within a hospital or nursing home, including supervisory responsibilities.
Prior experience in an acute or community hospital is preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and public relations skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
