As a Software Developer, you will be part of a development team responsible for delivering and supporting critical applications within the cards and banking domain. You will develop COBOL and CICS-COBOL programs, create documentation, perform testing, and work closely with users and technical teams to ensure the smooth functioning and enhancement of core systems. This role also includes production support, issue resolution, and collaboration on various project and change requests.
skills and experience required
Strong proficiency in COBOL, CICS, and Easytrieve (EZT) programming
Solid understanding and practical experience with JCL, VSAM, TSO/ISPF, and DB2
Experience in developing and maintaining online (CICS) and batch (COBOL/JCL) programs
Familiarity with credit card processing systems; experience with Cardlink is highly advantageous
Working knowledge of SPUFI, File-AID, Endevor or equivalent version control and debugging tools
Experience with unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) in mainframe environments
Knowledge of SDLC methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile frameworks
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Visio for documentation and workflow design
Strong analytical and debugging skills; able to perform impact analysis and troubleshoot production issues independently.
