Roles & Responsibilities
Job Description:
Analyze system and software requirement documents and source code for potential safety hazards.
Develop safety documents using applicable safety standards such as SSPP, FHA, FTA, SAR, and PHA.
Understand software development processes, having completed one or more SDLCs.
Perform safety analyses within a given schedule and work with minimal supervision.
Collaborate within a team environment with an emphasis on individual contributions to produce valuable products for the customer.
Demonstrate excellent people skills and communication abilities to effectively interact with a highly technical team of engineers.
Requirements:
Knowledge of software development processes.
Knowledge of safety standards.
Software coding experience in C++/Java.
Experience with execution and documentation of safety analyses.
Experience with safety-critical software is a plus especially with CMS systems.
Experience with safety software tools (Parasoft, MaCabe, TestWell) is a plus.
Familiarity with various operating systems (Linux, Windows)
Good understanding of the software development processes, had completed one or more SDLCs.
Capable of performing safety analyses within a given schedule and can work with minimal supervision.
Must have good people skills, excellent communicator and the desire to work with a highly technical team of engineers.
