Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Staff Management: Hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating nursing staff. They ensure staff performance meets the healthcare facility’s standards.
Patient Care Oversight: Ensure that high-quality patient care is delivered, including managing patient care protocols, safety, and satisfaction.
Budget and Resource Management: Monitor and manage the department’s budget, including staffing levels, equipment, and supplies.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with doctors, other healthcare professionals, and department heads to coordinate patient care.
Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure that the unit complies with all health and safety regulations, accreditation standards, and hospital policies.
Problem-Solving: Address conflicts or issues within the unit, both with staff and patients, and develop strategies to resolve them.
Professional Development: Provide mentorship and continuing education opportunities for nursing staff.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
Strong leadership and management abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to make quick decisions and solve complex problems.
Knowledge of healthcare laws, patient care protocols, and safety regulations.
