Roles & Responsibilities
Job Scope
· Make professional judgments and decisions based on observation and knowledge in rendering nursing care to the residents
· Documents changes/updates based on observation
· Ensure safe custody and proper record of controlled drugs and equipment every shift
· Ensure that medications are administered safely according to ‘5 Rights of Medication Administration and updates IMR whenever necessary
· Timely report of faulty equipment to relevant supporting departments for replacements
· Attends to doctor’s rounds
· Attends to emergency situations and coordinate smooth execution of the procedures whenever necessary
· Assist in organizing and coordinating ‘Resident Touch Point’ activities to enhance their quality of life
· Assist Nurse Manager to orientate new staffs in the ward on existing policies and procedures
· Assist Nurse Manager to train, supervise and motivate fellow nurses to perform excellent nursing care
· Report writing
· Actively participates in Internal Quality Audit (IQA)
Requirements
· Diploma/Degree in Nursing
· Entry level applicants welcomed
· Must be registered with the Singapore Nursing Board
· Caring disposition and committed to the quality patient care
· Possess administration skills and a team player
· Able to work 2 shift hours
