Roles & Responsibilities
Position title : Clinic Assistant / Nurse
Location: Farrer Park
Working Days: 5.5 Days Work Week (Sunday and Public Holiday off)
Working hours : Weekday : 9am -12pm , 2pm – 5.30pm /Saturday : 9am-12pm
Salary : $2500~$3800 (Depends On Experience)
Job Purpose
Clinic assistant is responsible for providing administrative support and patient care services.
Principal Accountabilities
Registration of patient, processing credit card payments and scheduling patient appointments
Identify patient’s insurance coverage and collect co-payments
Stay updated with information regarding insurance programs and funding sources.
Perform timely billing in Clinic Management System and in insurance claims
Managing corporate and insurance claims submissions, application of letters of guarantee or pre-authorisation and arrangement of hospital admission
Respond to queries from patients and external customers (Physicians, clinic staff and the public) regarding clinic /hospital services.
Prompt triage of patients, measurement of vital parameters (temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate) and identify patients who need immediate treatment to shortage waiting time before consultation.
Assist doctor in outpatient clinic and minor procedures.
Carry out doctor’s treatment such as nebulizer
Assist doctor in medicine order and packing
Keep track of stock inventory and expiry date of medication and consumables
Arrangement of laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging or procedures and specialist referrals
Financial counselling for diagnostic imaging or procedures
To have the knowledge of the proper usage and maintenance of medical equipment such as audiometry and ECG. ( Training opportunities given if no experience)
Any other duties as may be assigned by clinic manager or medical director
Qualification & Experience:
Minimum GCE “N”/”O” level, ITE Cert, Diploma or equivalent
Enrolled nurses and staff nurses are welcomed to apply
Previous experience in clinic setting will be an advantage.
Those with more experiences may be considered for Senior Position
