Job Description
Our client, a well-known company is looking for candidates for the position of Sea Freight Co-ordinator.
Job Scope:
Oversee and manage the entire forwarding process, ensuring customer satisfaction through a best practice approach.
Coordination, planning, tracking, and executing import/ export movements of Ocean Freight Shipments for customers.
Tracking and updating real-time movement and status of every shipment in the system as well as generating Excel reports to provide to material planners on changes to ETA of any cargo
FCL/LCL/CONSOL shipment bookings are made with carriers in accordance with customer forecast of container requirements as well as adhere to booking approved contracted lanes and carriers for maximum economical output and time efficiency.
Complete customs clearances, ensuring full compliance with any relevant regulations.
Manage documentation flow. This includes bills of lading, packing lists, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin and licenses.
Work in a team, covering all aspects of the forwarding process.
Requirement:
Minimum 1 year of Sea Freight experience is essential for this role.
Experience dealing with both Imports and Exports is beneficial.
Knowledge of customs regulations would be desirable.
