Roles & Responsibilities
Staff Nurse
6 days, 3 shifts
AM – 7am to 2:30pm
PM – 1:30pm to 9pm
Night – 9pm to 7:30am / 8pm to 8am (couple times a month only)
Salary: $2500 – $4540

Qualification:
Minimum Diploma in Nursing graduate from local Polytechnic Institution
Registered with Singapore Nursing Board
Minimum of 1 year of related working experience as Staff Nurse
Able to work independently and be unfazed with varied requirements of the job
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Interested in psychiatric nursing, be caring, matured and current with nursing practices in a community setting
Has a heart for social service and will uphold the Home’s values/care philosophy
Job scope:
This is a senior position reporting to the Nurse Manager, the role is to assist the Nurse Manager/Senior Staff Nurse to supervise and evaluate clinical nursing and administrative activities of the respective area/s designated
Help maintain and improve clinical nursing and administrative standards
Provide the full range of nursing care activities in clinical practice and uphold the philosophy and mission
Build teamwork in nursing and with other departments in the holistic care of residents
Deputize and assume responsibilities of Nurse Manager/Senior Staff Nurse in his/her absence when the need arises or when assigned
Help orientate, supervise and evaluate clinical practice of Senior Enrolled Nurse, Enrolled Nurse, Nursing Aide, Healthcare Assistant and Healthcare Attendant when assigned
Participate in evaluation of clinical guidance and in-service programme
Help check and execute inventory control
Help ensure smooth execution of nursing and administrative policies and procedures
Be familiar with code blue, infection control and fire & safety policies
Night shifts expected only a couple of times a month, depending on staff strength
