Job Description:
• Support Marine business development team to achieve profitability and growth of Marine Hull and Cargo
• Assist in the management of existing marine portfolio and developing new business portfolio.
• Underwrite and maintain a profitable book for Marine business.
• Determine and recommend acceptable pricing and terms, within underwriting authority, on new business and renewals.
• Assess risk and determine the coverage position on the aspect of damage, collision and grounding, fire and explosion, salvage operation, etc
• Assess quantum analysis and legal liability assessment, where appropriate while ensuring that the company’s policy, procedures, the assigned authority limits and regulatory requirements are adhered to at all times.
• Put strong emphasis on relationship management, renewal of existing accounts and maximizing revenue.
Requirements:
• At least a Diploma / ACII / Degree in any field
• Insurance certification preferred – BCP, PGI, COmGI
• At least 5 years experience in Marine Cargo or Marine Hull Underwriting
